Pacom Communications is proud of its long relationship with Motorola. Pacom has been a high profile Motorola
premium dealer since its inception and has been reconised for its effots by Motorola. The Motorola product range
offered by Pacom include all standard commercial products with an emphasis on two-way equipment designed for use
in the Australasian region. Products available in other parts of the world may also be available on application.
The main range of Motorola products available at Pacom are:
Hand held (Portables)
GP328 Most common Motorola hand held units are the Warris series portables. The Warris series includes the
popular GP328 available in 4 channel, 16 channel ,and 128 channel (GP338) versions. All versions may be purchased
with the optional Intrinsically Safe / Factory Mutual
option for use in hazardours environments. The GP328 series offeres the best all round solution to your communications needs,
light, compact and feature rich, this series of portables has it all.
The GP328 is fitted with MDC1200 signalling to allow advanced
call features. A 1200mAh NiMHy battery and intelligent rapid charger are sold as a standard package. Additional
accessories such as lightweight headsets, covert audio equipment, multi-unit chargers and more are also available to
complete your communications package.
A 5 Tone version of the radios is also available being the GP329 and GP339. 5 Tone models can offer some advanced extra
features to your radio network.
GP2000 A low cost basic radio the GP2000 is also available for commuincations networks that do not require advanced signalling
capabilities. The GP2000 is a 99 channel portable available in VHF and UHF models. The very small size makes this unit
ideal for businessmen and as a security radio. The radios do have DTMF signalling capabilities for some advanced features.
Pacom offer the GP2000 complete with its optional high rate charger and 1200mAh battery.
GP308 A low cost basic 16 channel portable. A good general purpose portable unit. No signalling capability
but proven performer. No longer held as a standard stock item but available on order where required. Accessories and parts
held in stock.
Other models commonly used in PNG include the high performance HT1000, GP900 (mid-band), and the very reliable high performance MTX838.
Pacom stil provide service, parts and accessories for older models of Motorola radios including the very popular GP300,
P110, GP88, P200, HT600.
Mobile / Base Radios
The new GM3188 8 channel, and GM3688 64 channel are the selected Mobile and Base transceivers being offered by Pacom.
Other models such as the very popular GM300 as well as the Warris series GM328 are also available as required however, Pacom
feel that the GM3188 and GM3688 offer the best all round value for money for PNG use, whilst retaining the ability for
MDC1200 encode and decode. The GM3188 is recommended for
mobile (vehicle installations) which the GM3688 is recommended for base operations. The GM3688 offers a display capability
that allows a base station perator to not only be able to identify the radio placing a call (Automatic Number Identification [ANI]
when operating with MDC1200 signalling), they may also place a call alert or other MDC1200 type call from the GM3688 to the radio fleet.
Pacom offer mobile radio solutions complete with installtion and antenna systems to match the type of operations you require.
Antenna systems are available as simple unity gain whip through to high gain high perfomance antenna systems for long range applications.
Base systems are offered with switch mode power supply systems and have the ability to charge a standby battery for
automatic backup. Antenna systems for base radios vary on the application and location that the base is to be installed.
For both mobile and fixed base applications Pacom sell and recommend
RF industries antenna solutions.
Repeaters
Pacom offer a simple and easy to install Motorola repeater system ideal for rapid deployment. The GR1225 is a self contained
repeater unit complete with duplexer and optional power supply that may be mounted with ease as a base system or operate as a remote repeater.
The GR1225 is suitable for low traffic repeater requirements and provides the ideal solution for explration camps. Pacom offer a 9 metre
collapsible mast suitable for use with this repeater that may be installed in almost any location to provide extended radio coverage.
The GR1225 is capable of 25W and is available in both VHF High Band and UHF band. An optional carry case is also available.
More complex, higher TX/RX ratio, and higher power systems are also available where required. Systems suitable for digital radio networks are also
available on request.
Consoles
Console systems allow for multiple users to connect to a signle base station transceiver. Motorola offer high quality console
systems purpose designed to inter-operate with the Motorola range of base transceivers. Consoles are available as either
simple extensiosn or as a complete system control unit with MDC1200 signalling capability including the ability to
enable and disable MDC1200 fitted radios.
Enable and Disable capabilities are not available directly froma base radio
and a console will be required for this feature to be available on your network.
