Our ongoing commercial operations in many centres around PNG has allowed Pacom to develop the skills required to communicate and work with remote village and clan groups throughout PNG with extremely high success rates.

As many an operator of commercial systems will indicate, there are significant barriers to the introduction of communications equipment within PNG that require sensitive and dedicated understandings of the local population to have any success. Pacom Communications has developed these skills to a high level that allow us to negotiate and respond to the individual groups needs.

Whilst these internal projects may not be considered to be large scale the functional methodologies are maintained.

Quality Management

Pacom Communications is actively involved in obtaining ISO9002 registration and endorsement and has been working with the National Institute of Standards and Industrial Technology (NISIT) towards this endorsement. Due to the relatively slow nature of the national institute in coming to terms itself with the requirements, Pacom is now actively working with another international body to obtain this endorsement.

Pacom is committed to obtaining ISO9000 series accreditation.

Technical training of PNG national personnel requires delicacy. Being thrust into the 20th century has impacted on PNG with a high demand for technology transfer to produce skilled technical staff. PNG has coped well with this requirement with such delicacy being applied.

Pacom have on staff specifically trained technical personnel that have previously conducted formal training courses for PNG National technical personnel and as such are in a ready position to assist in not only training but also curriculum development.

Pacom technical staff involved in training, have studied and taught applied electronics to base repair levels to PNG nationals at the Australian Military Technical and Further Education (TAFE) college in Bandiana, Australia (Formally the R.A.E.M.E. Training Centre) after training in Melanesian Pidgin at the Point Cook Language School and as such are well prepared to offer substantial assistance.
